The SciTamil Facts Application is a mobile app designed to make science learning simple, fun, and interactive. The app presents interesting facts in a visually engaging way, enabling users to explore science topics in bite-sized formats. This project was focused on creating a clean, modern, and user-centric design that aligns with the SciTamil brand identity.

Problem Statement

Many science-based learning platforms are often cluttered with complex information, making it hard for casual learners to stay engaged. The challenge was to simplify scientific knowledge into engaging facts, and present them in a design that encourages continuous exploration and interaction.

Design Objectives

• Consistency with SciTamil Branding: Use of the signature purple theme, bold fonts, and modern UI elements to create familiarity and trust.
• Micro-Learning Approach: Presenting science in small, digestible facts to attract both students and casual learners.
• Smooth Navigation: Simple bottom navigation bar with icons for home, topics, favorites, and random facts ensures quick access.
• Engagement Features: Like, save, and share buttons to encourage user interaction.
• Highlighting Trends: A dedicated section for “Trending Facts Today” and “What’s on This Week?” keeps content fresh and time-relevant.

• Fact Cards: Engaging visuals with large typography to make every fact stand out.
• Topic Management: Users can explore facts by topics, making learning structured and customizable.

Design Process

4. Testing – Validated designs for clarity, ease of use, and responsiveness across different screen sizes.
